Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, has conjured the wrath of God upon any individual who takes or redirects foods or reliefs implied for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the camps.
Zulum, who personally managed the distribution of food items to around 200, 000 IDPs in Monguno for two days, asked any official and teammates among the displaced people that take part in diversion of groceries or burglary to halt forthwith or get the anger of God.
"May the anger of God happen upon any individual who has gathered allotment ticket however came here to gather what is intended for other people," the representative said through the camp manager, Malam Babagana, who raised a copy of Qu'ran.
He said the governor has requested that he declare that "the scourge of God through the instrumentality of the Qur'an, will happen upon any individual" from himself as the main citizen in the state "down to compassionate authorities of SEMA (State Emergency Management), NEMA (National Emergency Management Agency) , other government authorities and anyone by any means," who diverts foodimplied for IDPs."
Unique Adviser to the governor on Public Relations and Strategy, Malam Isa Gusau, said the governor was worried about Issue of redirection of food at IDPs camps just as certain IDPs gathering numerous rations.
